Now that you have some great designs for greeting cards, where can you buy the card stock?
All of the actions and effects that I've designed are based on the card stock sizes found in the Red River Paper catalog. Red River is one of the largest distributors of greeting card stock in the industry and they have some awesome paper types.
Card Stock Tips
- You'll want to pick one or two sizes that best fit your needs. I'd suggest one standard card and one panoramic card.
- If I was to pick just two card sizes, I'd order the 9 x 6.25 60lb and the 8 x 9 Pano size.
- Pick the surface that you like best but remember that these are cards and they will be handled by many people. My favorite is the Polar Matte - awesome look.
- Don't forget envelopes. It's hard to mail a greeting card without one. The Red River site will help you pick the right size.
- If you want to market your cards, or give them as gifts, you will also want to buy some card boxes. I prefer the clear card boxes - they store flat and look great when assembled.
