Editing The Signature Block

First, you need to understand that the signature block is a separate photoshop file that is inserted into every greeting card that you create.  To use a custom signature file you must edit the signature.psd file before creating your greeting card.

To edit the file you simply open it in Photoshop, make the changes you want and then save the file again.  Keep the following in mind...

  • Do not change the size of the file. It is 600 x 300 pixels. (2" x 1" @ 300dpi)
  • The file must keep the same name.
  • The contents of the file are limited only by your imagination. It can contain text, image, or both.
  • When the signature block is added to a greeting card, it is placed on a separate layer. This layer can be turned off or on. (See Photoshop Help for information on working with layers)
  • Once the block is added to the card, the signature layer can not be edited
